Visiting the Poor
All of us are called to visit the poor, to extend a helping hand, and share God’s blessings with the less fortunate during
difficult times. At St. Vincent de Paul, we are seeing firsthand the impact our troubled economy has had on the poor and
homeless. So often, they are the first to be affected during an economic downturn, especially as blue collar and
construction jobs become harder to find.
Our lines are long at the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room, but we are doing our best to meet the growing need. Our
volunteers visit the poor, but even more often, the poor visit us. They come to us seeking life’s basic necessities, and
we need your help.
